Are you the Face of Frockabilly Finishing School?

We are looking for a face to be our poster child for Frockabilly?  Do you love all things Vintage.  Do you love to wear dresses and can occasionally be caught twirling when no one is looking?  Would you like to win a $290.00 Couture Photoshoot, $150.00 Vintage Hair and Make up session and $1200.00 portfolio with Mandi Lynn, lead photographer of A La Mode.  If you answered yes to these then make sure you have your prettiest dress on and come down for a test shoot during the A La Mode reVamp Party on the 1st of October 2011.  The winner will be determined by facebook voting and the 5 women with the most votes will come back in for a casting call at A La Mode and the winner will be announced on the blog.  The best photograph will be submitted as well to the Editors of Italian Vogue for inclusion into her portfolio, and for one year you will be the face of Frockabilly Finishing School.  This will also entitle the winner to 5 classes of her choice at the school.

And it Begins

Welcome to the Frockabilly Finishing School because we are never done learning what it means to be a Woman.   This school was invented during a planning session for a party at A La Mode Photographic Boutique.  Three female entrepreneurs (a couture photographer, a vintage makeup artist, and a burlesque instructor) had been independently thinking about doing the same thing....creating a place where young girls, teens, and women in their 20-70's could come together to play chat and learn about womanly arts....we excluded the 80 year old women because we figured they probably have it mostly sorted but us young pups are still learning to walk in their shoes.

In our school you will have an opportunity to learn about:
Vintage Hair styling
Vintage make up
Dressing for your personal wonderful delicious shape
How to walk with a gorgeous flick to your hips in heels
How to flirt without looking like a Tart
How to entertain 1-1000 guests graciously
How to eat with a prince if required and know what fork goes where
And so much more.....

Make sure you sign up for our newsletter so we can keep you in the know of our plans.
